I know it's hard,
to sit with yourself without thinking of the past or the future, while the voice in your head has gotten used to protecting your heart at any cost, leaving you unable to surrender to the present moment. Every heartbeat tells you that you are alive, but do you truly know what it means as you wake every day to the sunrise?
When was the last time you placed a hand over your heart, took a deep breath, and felt chills running down your spine? A nameless feeling that instantly fills you with a sense of gratitude that overwhelms, grounds you to the earth as the tears water the temple of your vessel, whispering, ‘surrender, fall deeper into the gentleness of your being.’
I know it's hard,
but remember that you can begin anew as many times as needed. You are one with the earth and its energy, like perennial growth, you can die and be reborn — that is growth, that is surrendering.
The shedding only begins with allowing yourself to step into the nothingness, leaving behind the chaos of controlling every aspect of your life.
To surrender, is the goal.

4 Excerpts from ‘Spiritual Ecology’ by Rudolf Steiner that remind us of our connection with the earth:
“…the plant world is the mirror of human conscious in external nature.” — R. Steiner
“…the plants reflect our own nature back to us, in the tension between the ‘root’ of earthly comfort, and the ‘flower’ of yearning for non-material realms.”
“…the earth’s astral nature is expressed in weather fluctuations, whose continual changes we can easily experience as parallel to the ‘weather’ of human feelings.”
“What our senses are of run, the plans are for the organism of the earth. But what is perceiving, achieving consciousness here, is the world of spirit streaming down from the sun to the earth. This world of spirit would not be able to achieve consciousness if it did not possess the plants as its sense organs, mediating self-awareness just as our eyes, ears and nerves mediate our own self-awareness.”
I hope these excerpts can create a moment of reflection and connection for you — may you find more time to be around nature and surrender to all it has to give.
